Despite the couple showing affection publicly, some of Jennifer’s closest friends and advisors have allegedly had issues with Affleck since their first relationship in the early 2000s.
One of those rumored to be not an Affleck supporter is Jennifer’s longtime manager Benny Medina, as per a source. Allegedly, there is tension between Benny and Affleck, with still some bad blood between them. Benny had worked with Jennifer during her early success, but their professional relationship ended in 2003.

According to sources who spoke with Page Six, some close to Jennifer Lopez have had issues with Ben Affleck dating back to their early 2000s relationship. Despite this, Lopez eventually brought Affleck back into her inner circle as her manager after their engagement ended in 2004.

Since then, Affleck has remained one of Lopez’s closest advisors, even spending time with her in the Hamptons while staying away from his Los Angeles location. A source mentioned that Benny, as Lopez’s manager, chose to remain neutral during her rekindled romance with Ben Affleck, believing that Lopez would marry him regardless of his opinion.

Leah Remini, another friend of Lopez, was temporarily estranged due to Lopez’s relationship with Affleck. While reports suggest Remini raised concerns about aspects of Affleck, their friendship was reportedly reconciled earlier this year amidst alleged marital issues between Lopez and Affleck.

One source from Page Six stated that, aside from Lopez’s mother, no one likes Ben Affleck and described him as a “triple-A a**hole.” They cited reports claiming Affleck postponed a divorce filing in an attempt to win back Lopez as evidence of his behavior.

According to sources, there is rumored tension between Jennifer’s manager of many years, Benny Medina, and Ben. It is said that Affleck may have had a hand in Jennifer’s decision to part ways with Medina in 2003.

However, she decided to give him his job back after breaking up with Ben for the first time. It was reported that Medina’s reaction to her reconciliation with Ben was neither supportive nor judgemental.

Leah Remini, who is known as one of JLo’s closest friends, was said to have been removed from her close circle after voicing her worries that Ben had not made sufficient changes since their previous split; shown during the filming of Second Act in 2017.

Lopez was reportedly furious and decided to end her relationship with Remini, not even inviting her to her wedding. During her separation from Affleck, it has been said that her long-time friend has been there for her, offering support and companionship.

Ben was seen working in Los Angeles on Thursday. According to a recent report from In Touch, he has supposedly been putting off filing for divorce to spare Jennifer from further humiliation. This is because they are both involved in the upcoming film Unstoppable, which he is producing and she is starring in.

Ben and his close friend Matt Damon, who is also a producer on the project, are reportedly heavily invested in the success of the film. Therefore, Ben has allegedly postponed the divorce proceedings to avoid any negative impact on the movie’s performance or Jennifer’s public image.
